Merrick Andrew Hartley
December 06, 1951 – July 21, 2019
HARTLEY, Merrick Andrew-Eastern Passage- passed away on July 21, 2019 at the Dartmouth General Hospital.
He was the son of the late William C, Hartley and Marion (Trider) Hartley. Mickey is survived by his brothers, Frank (Margie), Gerry (Susan) Ross (Debbie), sister Bernadette (Andrew). He is predeceased by sisters, Joanne at infancy, Andrea Young and Therese Johnson.
Mickey was a welder and worked at the Halifax Ship Yards, L.I.P. , and the Canadian Coast Guard where Mickey retired in 2017.
Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 pm Thursday July 25th at the Eastern Passage Community Funeral Home, at 5 Cow Bay Road Eastern Passage.
Funeral Mass will be held Friday at 10:00 am July 26th 2019 at St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Church, 1570 Shore Road, Eastern Passage. Burial will take place following the Mass in the Church Cemetery.
A reception will follow at the Lions Club, Hornes Road Eastern Passage.
The Hartley family would like to thank FR. Gerald, FR. Peter and Deacon Gordon MacKinnon for their hospital visits, prayers and support. We would like to express our sincere thanks to the Doctors, nurses and cleaning staff at Dartmouth General Hospital 4th floor East for their kindness, professionalism and excellent care of our brother Mickey.
