Passed away, peacefully, with family by her side, Maria (Bilanics) Boruzs, a resident of Tillsonburg, in her 93rd year. Maria will be remembered for her deep caring for her family. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Born in Nyírmártonfalva, Szabolcs Szatmar Megye, Hungary daughter of Andy Bilanics and Julia (Szalai) Bilanics. Predeceased by her husband Lajos. Loved mother of Mary Kish, Tillsonburg; Ilona Boruzs, Oshawa and proud grandmother of: Mary Jane (Robert), Louis Jr. (Lexie), Richard, Mariann and Tibor. Survived by a sister-in-law Maria Bilanics, Tillsonburg and nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her five brothers and by two sons, both named Lajos Boruzs.
Friends, Allen Street neighbours and relatives will be received by family on Friday, July 19th, 2019 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes- Burial and Cremation Services Inc. Chapel, 262 Broadway Street, Tillsonburg. Parish prayers are Friday evening at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, July 20th, 2019 at 10:30 am at the St. Mary’s R.C. Church, 51 Venison Street West, Tillsonburg by Rev. Fr. John Pirt. Interment to follow in the St. Ladislaus R.C. Cemetery, Courtland. Memorial donations to the “Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario” would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes, Tillsonburg (519) 842-4238.
