Obituary for Kenneth Eugene Nelson
Entered peacefully into eternal rest on July 14, 2019 in Windsor at 80 years of age. Beloved husband of Julie (nee Shaddock) with whom he celebrated 32 years of marriage. Loving father of Brad Nelson. Stepfather of Michelle Boyko (Mike), Rob McQueen (Stephanie) and Randy McQueen (Lauri). Treasured grandpa of Jamie Nelson, Brock Boyko, Natalie Johnson, James and William McQueen. Brother of Murray Nelson (Sandra), Keith Nelson (Leone), Jack Nelson (Janis) and the late Don Nelson. Brother-in-law of Lorelei Battram (Dale), Karen Gorman (Rick), Wendy Thompson (Carlyle), Debbie Wiseman (Jim), Rosemary Shaddock (Ed), Vicki Huber (Del) and Doug Shaddock (Shawna). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ken was a lover of all sports, especially golf. Not a day would go by without his afternoon black coffee with a shot of rum on the side, or a Jays or Leafs game with a bowl of popcorn and a rum and coke. He was never without an answer for any question or a tool to fix any problem. He was always quick to lend a hand to family, friends and neighbours. Ken adored his dogs and usually had one sitting beside him on his golf cart. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2019 from 1 p.m. until time of the Life Celebration at 3 p.m. Kennedy Funeral Home Ltd.
