Passed away at the Hillcrest Village Care Centre, Midland on Saturday May 18, 2019 at the age of 97. Hazel Guthrie of Midland formerly of Wyebridge, beloved wife of the late Meredith Guthrie. Loving mother of Murray (Betty) Guthrie and Bruce (Vicki) Guthrie. Loved grandmother of Kyle, Kirk, Melissa, Monica and Sabrina. Cherished great grandmother of Andrew, Camila, Kelsey, Hayley, Emma and Jack. Survived by her brother Edwin (Joy) Reynolds. Predeceased by siblings Armour Reynolds, Albert Reynolds, Gladys Marchant, Willis Reynolds and Leta Collins. Hazel will be missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A special thanks to nursing staff at Hillcrest for all their support and kindness to Mom. Everyone went above and beyond with care and compassion during Mom’s final days. Friends will be received at Carson Funeral Homes – JH Lynn Chapel, 290 First Street, Midland (705) 526-6551 on Thursday May 23, 2019 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Funeral service will be held from St. Mark’s Anglican Church, 307 Third St., Midland on Friday May 24, 2019 at 11 o’clock. Interment to follow at the Church of the Good Sheppard Cemetery, Wyebridge. If desired, memorial donations to the Church of the Good Sheppard Cemetery Fund, Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
