Gloria Shirley Marie Gray (Lane) August 22, 1937 – July 1, 2019 – Peacefully passed away at Bowmanville Hospital on Monday, July 1, 2019 with her family by her side at the age of 81 after a brief illness.
Beloved wife of the late Charles, loving mother of Shelley (Dominic) Molica and Julie (Douglas) Miller.
Devoted grandmother of Luke (Becka), Joel, Spencer (Aislin) and Stuart. Great grandmother to Isla and Max.
Cherished sister of Barry (Connie), & the late Bill (Fern) & the late Ted (& Gail) and sisters in law, June and Betty.
She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
As an active member of St. Saviour’s Church and ACW, Orono, her pies and catering skills will be greatly missed. Her lifelong career as an amazing teacher, will be remembered by her many students who fondly still refer to her as “Mrs. Gray”. She enjoyed her retirement years by going to the casino and was an avid euchre player.
Memorial visitation will take place at Newcastle Funeral Home on Sunday July 7th, 2019 from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M. Memorial service will take place on Monday July 8th, 2019 at St. George’s Anglican Church – Newcastle (250 Mill St. S., Newcastle) at 11:00 A.M. Visitation to take place one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Saviour’s Anglican Church, Orono or a charity of your choice.
