It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gerald Michael Foley announces his passing at the Carmelite House, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL aged 73 years.
Gerald retired as manager of P & R Auto Glass (Speedy Auto Glass) and was a third degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
Gerald leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 50 years, Shirley (Lee) Foley; daughter, Michelle (Foley) Clarke, son-in-law, Travis Clarke; his grandchildren, Victoria & Chloe who were the pride and joy of his life; sisters-in-law, Margaret Foley, Bernadette (Dennis) Power, nephew, Craig Foley; nieces, Deanne Foley Hawco (Barry), Jennifer Foley, Heather Foley Hicks (Peter); as well as a large number of other relatives and friends.
Gerald is predeceased by his parents, Philip & Mary (decker) Foley; brother, Pierce Foley; in-laws, Edward (Ned) & Clo (Kelly) Lee.
The public visitation will take place Sunday, July 28, 2019 at 7-9 pm, Monday, July 29, 2019 at 2-4 & 7-9 pm from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.
Mass of Christian Burial will take Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at 2 pm from St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church. The interment will follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Union Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.
In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy donations in his memory may be made to the Dr. Lionel Kelland Hospice.
The family would liek to thank Doctors Alsakati, Dr. Campbell, Dr. Barajhi, Dr. Sheridan, as well as the nurses and staff at the Central Newfoundland Regional Heath Centre Emergency Department, and staff on Floors 3 and 4 of The Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre; as well as the staff at the Carmelite House Palliative Unit.
