Georgina Plishka
On the evening of Sunday, June 30, 2019, Georgina Plishka passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family and close friends in Edmonton, AB.
Georgina was born on February 4, 1929 in Manville, AB. In 1948, she married Paul Plishka and together they raised their children, Douglas and Dwayne. Georgina spent her 90 years of life touching the hearts of many. She was a member of UWAC and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St. Elia. Georgina took great pride in her family and her home, hosting all important family occasions. She is remembered as a mother, a Baba, a friend and as a “second mom” to many.
Georgina is survived by her son, Dwayne and daughter-in-law, Theresa; her grandchildren, Kacey, Paulyna and Seth; and her brothers; Joe and Ernie. Georgina is predeceased by her husband, Paul; and her son, Douglas; as well as her sisters, Adeline and June.
Funeral Rite Friday, July 5 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St. Elia,11833 -66 Street, Edmonton.
