Surrounded by family, it is with great sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, Theresa Sheppard, at the age of 85 years, on Friday, June 14th, 2019, in the early morning, at Health Sciences North, Palliative Care. Predeceased by her loving husband Don. Beloved mother of Lorraine Rick (Rob), Gail Guillemette (Dan “Butch”), and Mark Sheppard (Danielle Fournier). Cherished grandmother of Eric Chiasson, Kevin Chiasson (Robert McAfee), Kyle Rick, Todd Guillemette (Parthenia), and David Guillemette (Danica Delparte). Adoring great-grandmother of Ethan, Claudia, Nadia, Annie, Emile, and Matthew. Survived by her sisters Jeanette and Liliane. Predeceased by her parents, Roméo and Bernadette Doré, as well as her sisters, Georgette, Yvette, Lucille, Pauline, and Denise and her brothers Johnny and Lucien. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends, all of whom she loved very much.
Theresa was a very proud, classy and lovable woman with an exquisite sense of style.
We would like to thank the nursing staff and Dr. Singh on the 4th Floor, North Tower for their continuous care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
Memorial Visitation in the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury. Family and friends may gather from 6:30pm to 8:30pm on Thursday, July 4th, 2019, with parish prayers at 7pm Thursday. Memorial Mass in St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 1250 Barrydowne Road, Sudbury, on Friday, July 5th, 2019 at 10:00am. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
