FUSS, Rose (Nemanishen)
Rose Fuss passed away peacefully at Mount Hope, London on Saturday, June 1, 2019. She is survived by her husband of almost sixty years, James Fuss, her children: Jeffrey (Vicki), London, ON; Karen Fuss-Sommer, Albuquerque, NM, Kelly (Rob) Gripper, Salt Lake City, UT; her grandchildren Gillian, Joshua, Kayleigh, Pauley, Emily and Lucy, and her brother Gerald (Rosemary) Nemanishen, Mission, BC and brother-in-law Ralph Chappell, Saskatoon, SK. She is predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Polly Nemanishen and her sister Margaret Chappell. She will fondly be remembered by all her nieces and nephews.
Rose was born and raised in Langham, SK. After graduating from Nursing School, she moved to Ontario where she met James (Jim). They lived in Alliston and worked as a nurse, and raised her three children. Upon retirement, Jim and Rose moved to St. Josephs and wintered in South Texas. When health became an issue, Rose and Jim moved to Chartwell Retirement Home and then Mount Hope, London, ON.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James St. at Richmond, London on Friday, June 7 at 12 noon, with visitation from 11 am – 12 noon.
Thank you to the staff at Mount Hope for their exceptional care of Rose during her final days.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation, 200 Fletchers Crescent, P.O Box 4000, Alliston, Ontario, L9R 1W7 or to Diabetes Canada.
