Obituary of Ron Marquardt
MARQUARDT, Ronald – passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Wednesday, June 5, 2019. He had just celebrated his 77th birthday with his loved ones days before.
Ron Marquardt of Petawawa, loving husband of the late Beverley Marquardt (nee Boyle). Dear father of Heidi Ferguson (Doug) of Pembroke; Kirk Marquardt (Angie) of Edmonton; and Toni Sherwood (Ted) of Ottawa. Cherished Papa to Colin, Ryan and Ethan. Son of the late James and Edith Marquardt (nee Schroeder) of Eganville. Brother of the late Daniel Marquardt (Judy) and Darlene Mulroy (Randy) of North Bay.
Special thanks to Dr. Boyle, nurses and personal support workers from the Champlain LHIN and Bayshore for their care and support to allow Dad to remain in his home. Thanks also to all his friends who called, visited at his home and sent cards of support.
Memorial Visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt and Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St. Pembroke on Friday, June 14, 2019 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 605 Black Bay Road, Petawawa on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment of ashes in the parish cemetery. For those desiring to make donations in memory of Ron, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. John’s Lutheran Church, Petawawa would be appreciated.
