The death of Roger James MacDonald husband of Cynthia «Cindy» (Jardine) MacDonald of Bryenton, NB, occurred at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Monday, June 24, 2019 at the age of 60.
Born in Miramichi, NB, Roger is the son of Marie Lynch and the late Freeman MacDonald.
Roger was a labourer with North Shore Construction.
Roger was a groomer operator with the Miramichi Sno Goers Club 22 and he also loved to boat with the “South Esk Marina Club”.
Besides his wife and mother, Roger is survived by two sons: Ryan (Jerrica Matchett) of Miramichi, NB, Stuart of Bryenton, NB; two sisters: Terry Sobey (Calvin) and Rosalie Landry (William) all of Miramichi, NB; niece Tina Landry (Colin Manuel) and nephew James Landry (Christine) and mother-in-law Marie Jardine.
Roger is predeceased by his grandparents William and Lydia MacDonald and Thomas and Victoria Vickers; step father Raymond Lynch; father-in-law Sydney Jardine and infant son Matthew Robin MacDonald.
Visitation will be held at Bell’s Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi, NB, on Thursday June 27, 2019, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
The Funeral Service will be held from The Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi, NB, on Friday June 28, 2019 at 10 AM with Father Gerry Laskey officiating.
Burial will follow in the Miramichi Cemetery.
In Roger’s memory a donation may be made to the Anglophone North School District for the Avery Astle Integrity Scholarship and to the Miramichi Addiction and Mental Health Services.
