Howell, Nellie (nee Keezhig) passed away peacefully at the Southampton Care Centre with family by her side on Thursday June 27, 2019 at the age of 96. Dear wife of the late Clarence Howell. Loving mother Robert and his wife Darlene of Owen Sound, Donelda and her husband Romaine Kahgee of Saugeen First Nation, and Mary and her husband Brian Perdue of Chatsworth. Proud grandmother of Clinton, Candice, Stacy, Richard (Barbara), Neil, Josh, Robert, Emmeline, Schuyler, Dustin, and Daniel; and great grandmother of Tyler, Blake, Logan, Madison, Justin, Austin, Matisha, Jacob, Elizabeth, Dominic, Shaughn, Joshua, and Connor. Survived by nieces & nephews, and extended family. Predeceased by her parents Sam & Mabel Keezhig, by her granddaughter Laura, by her great grandson Austin, by her siblings Mary, Sam, Esther, John, Dorothy, and by her partner of over 30 years Gord Harkness. A Funeral Service for Nellie Howell will be held at Scotch Settlement Full Gospel Church, 222 Scotch Settlement Rd, Saugeen First Nation, on Tuesday July 2, 2019 at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow. Interment of ashes at a later date at Southampton Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation.
