Obituary for
Mark David Molot
(June 17, 1936 – June 3, 2019)
Born in Ottawa, Ontario, Mark was at times larger than life. In his younger years, he was a gifted athlete, holding records for the shot put and the discus throw. Intellectually curious, he was an avid reader and student of a wide variety of topics. Enjoyments included music of all kinds, cigars, a good malt whiskey, nature and an intense debate on any topic. There was nothing you could not discuss. He could be most entertaining with his real life stories, particularly enthralling to the younger generation. As a pathologist, he served a tour of duty in the medical corps of the USA military in Viet Nam. He eventually settled in a town outside of Milwaukee Wisconsin. His loss is deeply mourned by his beloved wife, Jequitta, son Ross and his wife Kim, and his three adored grandchildren, Arielle, Max and Eli. Predeceased by his parents Reuben and Sylvia Molot, he leaves behind his brother Michael Molot and his wife Shirley, his sister Judith Piazza and her husband Vince, and several nieces. Mark’s family wish to thank Gary Bronson, a valued friend and helper who has been a caring and loving friend to Mark and Jequitta over the years. Mark, according to his wishes, is returning to rest in Ottawa. Graveside Service will be held at the Jewish Memorial Gardens, 2692 Bank Street, on Friday, June 14 at 12 noon. Shiva will be private.
