Marie Vilda Patterson
1942-2019
Marie Vilda Patterson – age 77, of Coldbrook, passed away on
Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at home. Born in Windsor, she was a daughter
of the late Kinsman and Florence (Spinney) Benjamin. Marie had been
employed with Canadian Keys Fibre in Hantsport and later worked at the
Graves plant in Berwick. She enjoyed sewing and was a member of Third
Baptist Church, Canaan. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother
and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is
survived by her husband, Frederic «Fred»; son, Avery
(Lynn); two grandchildren, Emily and William; three sisters, Pat
Gammon, Helen (Roy) Cousins and Maxine (Floyd) Swinamer; three
brothers, John, Clarence and Raymond (Barb); many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Fred and a
sister, Gladys. Cremation has taken place and there will be no
visitation by family request. A funeral service, followed by a
reception, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2019 in the
Third Horton Baptist Church, Canaan, Reverend Barbara Durling
officiating. Burial will take place in the Riverbank
Cemetery, Hantsport, at a later date. Donations in memory may be made
to Third Horton Baptist Church, Canaan. Funeral arrangements have been
entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
