Johnston, Margaret Rosemary (nee Broadhurst)
Margaret passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Meadow Park Nursing Home at the age of 87.
Margaret was born in England and was the daughter of the late Henry and Dorothy (nee Oates) Broadhurst.
Beloved wife of the late Jacob Archibald Johnston (2011).
Loving mother of John and Rose Marie Johnston of Erieau and Karen and the late Ernst (2003) Lauterbach of Chatham.
Sadly missed by grandchildren, Byron and Lisa Johnston, Chad and Chelsy Lauterbach, Brandon and Amy Johnston and Scott Lauterbach.
Dear great-grandmother of Nevia, Mia, Logan, Riley and Jayden Johnston.
Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Special sister-in-law to Douglas and Phyllis Johnston and David and Joan Johnston.
Predeceased by her sisters, Kathleen (Leslie) Hopps, Marjorie (Louis) Vermeulen, Olive (Pat) Sinclair and Dorothy (Vern) Knoblauch and a sister-in-law, Josephine (Arthur) LaForge.
Margaret worked many years as a supervisor at Actionmatic. With retirement she was able to spend more time with her four grandsons. She enjoyed weekly shopping outings with her two sisters. She loved bingo with her friends and dancing at the Legion on Saturday afternoons.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, ON, on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
The Funeral Service will be held at McKinlay Funeral Home, on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 11 a.m.
Interment will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery.
