Whittaker, Juanita Valerie (Kirkpatrick). The family of Juanita Valerie Whittaker is saddened to announce her unexpected passing on June 11th, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a brief illness. Juanita, the daughter of Ella and Percy Kirkpatrick, was born in Fredericton Junction, New Brunswick on March 30th, 1957.
Juanita is survived by her husband of 41 years, Gerald; brother, Silas Kirkpatrick (Vonnie); step-sister, Gail Armitage (Bob); step-sister, Elaine Wooden (Lonnie), step-brother, Everett Kirkpatrick (Bonnie) aunt, Lillian Perkins; brother-in-law, John Whittaker (Patricia); sister-in-law, Natalie Granger (John); sister-inlaw, Robin Naish (Art); mother-in-law, Margaret Whittaker; several nieces, nephews and numerous cousins.
Juanita’s greatest gifts were her kind and gentle soul and her ability to put all at ease. She was a lifelong resident of Hoyt, New Brunswick. Juanita, a former employee of the Department of Finance, was a devoted homemaker and active member of the Calvary Pentecostal Church, holding the position of Financial Secretary.
Beside her parents, Juanita was predeceased by an infant sister; step-father Cedric Kirkpatrick; stepsister, Audrey Covert (Earl) and father-in-law, Eldon Whittaker.
Visitation will take place at the Calvary Pentecostal Church in Hoyt on Friday, June 14th, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00, with funeral at the Calvary Pentecostal Church on Saturday, June 15th, 2019 at 2:00 pm. Internment will take place at the Patterson United Church Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
