Jordon, John Edward («Ed») passed away at Maplewood in Brighton on June 8th, 2019 at the age of 99. Loving husband of Anita (nee Wilson) and dear father of Jan Jordon and Lynne Jordon, both of Victoria, British Columbia. Grandpa is lovingly remembered by his granddaughter Adeline Emily. Predeceased by his parents William and Verna Jordon and his sister Marjorie Marshall, of Brighton. Ed was born on January 17, 1920 at Point Petre in Prince Edward County, moving to Brighton at the age of nine. Ed served as a pilot and flight instructor in the RCAF during WWII. Ed was employed by the Bata Shoe Company for 42 years, becoming Administration Manager and Treasurer of the company in the 1960s. Ed enjoyed playing tennis, skiing and sailing into his eighties. He was a member of the Trenton Racquet Club, the Batawa Ski Club and the C.F.B. Trenton Yacht Club. Ed was also a member of the Trenton Kiwanis Club. Thanks are extended to the staff at Seasons, VON, Hospice Quinte and Maplewood. Donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada in Ed’s name would be appreciated by the family. Interment of ashes will be at Mount Hope cemetery in Brighton. A celebration of Ed’s life will take place between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Sunday June 23 at the Trent Port Marina.
