Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Center on June 25, 2019 surrounded by her loving family, Janet Margaret Butler (nee Trickett), age 57. Predeceased by her son Bradley aged 3 months. Left with wonderful memories, her husband of 32 years, Wayde Butler, and her two sons, Brandon (Alyssa) and Jared; her Dad, Lew Trickett of Topsail; brother Gary (Judi); nephew Mark Trickett (Jenny) and niece Gina Trickett (Brian), and Great-Nephew Franklin Trickett New. Mother-in-law Ruth Butler and sister-in-law Valerie Butler (Tim); Aunt Margaret and Uncle Walter Hamlyn of Corner Brook; Aunt Diane and Uncle Ewart of St. John’s as well as a large circle of cousins and dear friends.
Janet had an undeniable zest for life and an adventurous spirit. She loved traveling, riding her motorcycle, and sitting around the campfire with her fur babies. Her love and fierce loyalty toward her family and friends will not soon be forgotten.
A special thank you to the wonderful caring clinicians in the Intensive Care Units at the Health Sciences Center. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service to celebrate Janet’s life will be held on Friday, June 28 at a time to be announced. Inurnment to follow in the parish cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her son Bradley. In lieu of flowers, donations in Janet’s memory may be made to the MS Society or Janeway Children’s Hospital.
