DORIS, Herbert James November 11, 1962-June 12, 2019: Passed away peacefully at Riverview Manor, Peterborough (formerly of Otonabee) on June 12, 2019 with family by his side. Herb, in his 57th year, after a courageous battle with cancer. Loved and missed by his family. Beloved brother of of Patrick, Linda (John) Kempt, Bill (Janice), Rosemary (Wade), Paul, and Pauline (Gerald) Heffernan. Special uncle of Lori (Josh) Anderson, Cora (Scott) St. Pierre, Jessica (Mike) Swift, Joe (Rebecca)Doris, Matt, Katie, and Maureen Heffernan. Great uncle to Abigail, Josiah, and Nathaniel Anderson, and Sarah and Wesley St. Pierre. Predeceased by his parents Anastasia Fitzgerald and Joseph Doris, brother Brian, and nephew Dan Kempt. Visitation will take place at the Highland Park Funeral Centre on Monday, June 17th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of the Assumption Church on Tuesday, June 18th at 10:30 am. Monsignor Michael Heffernan officiating. Interment Highland Park Cemetery followed by a reception in Our Lady of the Assumption Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
