Elaine E. Hastey
1940 – 2019
Elaine Eleanor Hastey of Miramichi and formerly of Douglasfield passed away at the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home on Monday, June 10, 2019 at the age of 79.
Born in Chatham, on May 15, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Jean (MacFarlane) Trevors. She is a retired employee of H.R.D.C after 30 years. She attended St. Paul’s Anglican Church and was a part of the A.C.W, Sunday School and Outreach Committee.
She is survived by her two daughters: Shelly Malley (Edward) and Donna Tozer (Teddy) all of Miramichi; two sons: Allen Hastey (Debra) and Chris Hastey (Sandra) all of Miramichi; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Jeanne Peterson of Saskatchewan. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, Douglas Hastey, one son, Jason Hastey, one brother, Terry Trevors.
Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at 2 pm from St. Paul’s Anglican Church with Rev. Deacon Eddie Quann and Rev. Deacon Ted Quann officiating. Interment will be held in the church cemetery.
