E. Helen Laity
1932-2019
E. Helen Laity, 86, of Peoples Park Tower,
and formerly of Maple Trail Lane and Upper Coverdale, passed away at
The Moncton Hospital on Monday, June 24, 2019 following a brief
illness.
Born in Berry Mills, NB,
she was the daughter of the late Lee and Jean (Glendenning) Johnson.
Helen retired after many years teaching school within District 16.
Music was her passion, and she was a past member of the Codiac Chords,
and The Metrotones. She was a member of Coverdale United Church and
was the organist and choir director for many years. Her interests
included knitting, crosswords, darts and bowling.
Helen was survived by her
daughters Debbie Mullin (Michael), Patricia Abrams (Scott), Cathy
Demmings (George), sons, Tim (Sheila) and Allan (Roberta),
grandchildren Shannon Trevors (Toby), Mandi Mullin, Molly Laity,
Stephanie Babic (Antonio), Daniel Laity (Kristin), Sarah Rickard
(Brandon), Morgan Abrams (Ian Milner), Jennifer Laity (Danny Gionet),
Melanie Laity, Amy Laity, Megan Demmings (Tim Connor), Kelsey Demmings
(Dylan Springer), seven great grandchildren, Olivia, Liam, Jade, Max,
Stella, Luka, and Lily, sister Roberta Richardson (Willis) of
Riverview, also by several nieces and nephews.
Helen was predeceased by
her husband Walter Laity in 2013 and sisters Margaret Doucet and
Marion Robinson, brother Raymond Johnson.
Visitation will be held
at Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home on Wednesday June
26, 2019 from 2:00pm-4:00pm & 6:00pm-8:00pm.
The funeral service will
be held at Riverview Funeral Home Chapel, 214 Pine Glen Rd. on
Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 11:00am.
Interment will be in
Wesleyan Union Cemetery.

memory made to the Rebecca Schofield Fund (www.inbeccasname.ca), the
IWK Children’s Hospital or to the memorial of the donor’s choice would
be appreciated.
