Monas, William Donald
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Don on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at the Hamilton General Hospital. Don was the much loved husband and best friend of Irene for 60 years. Loving father of Jay (Donna and Jeffrey (Carol). Beloved grandpa of Brandon, Lori, Zachary and Lyndsay. Brother of Doug (Gayle) Monas and brother-in-law of Carolyn Olaski. Predeceased by his parents, Letitia (nee Lyle) and Theodore Monas, his mother and father-in-law Carrie (nee Fearman) and Hubert Field, his brothers George and Stanley and sisters Annie and Irene. Don was a 60 year member of Local 67 Plumbers Union and a past member of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Pipes and Drums. Don enjoyed hockey, baseball, golf and curling and coached hockey and baseball for many years. Cremation has taken place and his ashes will be placed in the family plot in Port Dover Cemetery.
