It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cécile Marie-Marguerite Beaudet (nee Carrier) who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 12th, 2019 at the Wellington Terrace Long Term Care Home at the age of 83.
Cécile will be profoundly missed by her beloved and devoted husband of 63 years, Jean-Blaise (John) Beaudet and children Denis (Anne-Marie Jones), Denise (Duane Wightman). She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Justin, Lindsay (Mark Rennie), Joel (Mariana Silva de la Torre), Ryen (Brandy Swain), and her cherished great grandchildren Gavan, Rocky (Ashley) Mask and Paisley, Lilah Rennie.
Born on October 6, 1935 in Sainte Sabine, Québec, Cécile was the eldest daughter of Arthur Carrier and Alice Lachance. She was sister to Réal (Ghislaine Lapointe), Claude (Mireille Asselin), Diane (Michel Talbot), Lise (Clément Boutin), Denis-Paul (Huguette Chabot) Francine (Gervais Lamontagne), Yvon (Linda Coté), and Mario (Andrée Baillargeon). Predeceased by sister Lorraine Carrier and brother Fernand Carrier (Monique Bizier).
The family would like to extend a profound, sincere and heartfelt thank you to the gentle and caring staff at Wellington Terrace for their unwavering support over the last three years. Words can never express the special care and tenderness given to Cécile and our family during her long battle with Alzheimer’s.
Family and friends may visit at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David St. South, Fergus on Friday, June 14th, 2019 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Close relatives will gather for a private family interment at a later date.
