Peacefully at Kelso Pines, Owen Sound on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 in her 86th year. Catherine Elizabeth Boddy (nee Shouldice), beloved wife of the late Charles Elgin Boddy. Loving mother to daughter Karen Elizabeth Boddy and her husband Michael E Butt and son Richard C. Boddy. Proud and loving grandmother of Jeremy (Koreen), Jocelyn (Ricardo), Shilanda (Jeremy), Ry and Lillian; and great grandmother of Tessa and Clara. Catherine was predeceased by her daughter Christina Lynne Smith and by her parents Helen E and Morley N. Shouldice. Remembered by her son-in-law Brian D. Ward, and by her brother-in-law Wayne Boddy and his wife Margaret. Catherine was a long-time member of the Goderich Maple Leaf Chapter IODE, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion (Branch 109) and Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Goderich, Ontario. Also, a Red Hat member of the Wiarton “Forget-Me-Nots” and a long-time Goderich and Owen Sound community volunteer for various organizations.
Friends may call at the Tannahill Funeral Home, 1178 4th Ave West, Owen Sound, 519-376-3710 on Sunday, June 23, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, June 24, 2019 at 11:00am. Interment Greenwood Cemetery.
