It is with great sadness that the family of longtime Milton resident, Carman Howard Wright, announces his passing on Thursday June 13, 2019. Predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Betty Anne (nee Frizzell). Survived by his children Cheryl, Jeff (Cheryl), Don (Michele), and Karen (Tim) Woolvett. Loving grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather to Tim (Aspasia), Lori (Tom), Dennis (Candace), Tasha-Leigh (John), Nathaniel, Zachery; Dylan, Tyler, Keaura, William, Eli, Carson, Jack, Jessie; Teegan.
Carman served as an officer in the OPP from 1955 to 1986. He came to Milton with his wife Betty in 1958 to work at the newly created Milton detachment of the OPP. He was one of the 4 original OPP officers to police the town and surrounding area. After his retirement from the OPP, he continued to work as an officer of the court at the Milton Provincial Court House where he retired again in 1996. Private funeral arrangements have been made, and a celebration of life gathering will take place at a future date, to be announced.
