Steven Tracey
1960-2019
TRACEY, Steven Morris, age 59, of Hebbville (formerly of
Hantsport),passed away on May 22, 2019 at home in the loving arms of
his family after a long and brave battle with cancer. He is survived
by his wife of 40 years, Gail; his three sons, Dwayne (Melanie); Jared
(Ashley) and Derek and three granddaughters, Felicity, Harlow and Nova
and his grandson, Remy; six sisters and one brother and many nieces
and nephews. He was predeceased by both parents, Hazel Tracey and
Gilbert Hazlett and his brother, Elton. He was employed at
Michelin Tire Bridgewater for 34 years having been retired for the
past 5 years. He had previously been a volunteer firefighter both with
Wileville and Hebbville Fire Departments. He had volunteered for the
Relay of Life and the annual PLRR Exhibition Barbeque to raise funds
for the Canadian Cancer Society. Steven was an avid Boston Bruins fan
with many a discussion had by him with many family and friends. Many
thanks to the various family members who participated in Steven’s care
and friends and neighbours for all their kindness and support during
his illness. Many thanks also to the doctors and nurses of the QEII
Dickson Centre, the Chemo Unit at the South Shore Regional Hospital
and VON. A special thank you to Dr. Gowan and Natalie for their care
and support. Memorial Service 11:30am Monday in R.A. Corkum Funeral
Home, Wileville. Angela Clifton Officiating. Family flowers only by
request with donations to the Lunenburg/Queens Palliative Care
Society. Interment at Hebbville Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements
