Obituary of Roberta «Robin» Lynn States
Roberta “Robin” Lynn States, 57 of Meadowvale passed away on May 24, 2019 in her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Kentville, she was the daughter of Maxine States.
Roberta was employed with Dollarama, in Greenwood, up to the time of her illness.
She was survived by the father of her children Robert (Theresa Hirtle) Carey; daughter Jolene (Michael) Zwicker; sons Matt (Tia), Lucas (Nikita) and Nick (Hailey); sisters Lisa (Mark) Malley and Tanya (David) Wilson; brother Peter (Erika) Bailey; grandchildren Riley, Jaden, Madison and Grace; many nieces and nephews. Roberta will also be missed by her Dollarama family and her many friends.
Roberta was predeceased by her maternal grandparents Rita and Roy States; uncles Ronald, Delancy and Robert States; aunts Joan Ross and Betty Viner.
A Celebration of Roberta’s Life will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 12:00 pm in the Kingston Lions Hall, 1482 Veterans Lane, Kingston with Pastor Galvin Simmonds officating. No flowers by family request. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Nova Scotia Health Authority Palliative Care. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4P 1B9 (902-679-2822).
