Robert Dewar Collins
June 17, 1965 – May 20, 2019
Memorial Donation
It is with a heavy heart to announce the sudden and unexpected passing of my husband, best friend, love of my life, Robert Dewar Collins on Monday, May 20, 2019 at home.
Rob was predeceased by his parents, Calvin and Mary Collins, and is survived by his wife, Patrizia, brother Grant (Pam), sister Karen (Grant), nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and many friends around the world.
Rob lived life to its fullest, enjoying skydiving, scuba diving, mountain climbing, fishing and anything computer related. He really enjoyed spending time with Patrizia, watching sci-fi shows, relaxing in the hot tub after a hard day of work, then retreating to his “domain” to play games online. He would often tell of his gaming adventures or work-related stories and loved life with a zest and compassion.
He had the ability to adjust to any situation and welcomed challenges and change. From being the training manager of Chi-Chi’s, computer contracting with CP Rail, opening his own bar/restaurant with friends, then eventually opening his own computer company in 2004.
Rob would go out of his way to help complete strangers and even further for friends and family. Even though he would grumble about getting up early on Sunday mornings, he always willingly and cheerfully helped me with my farmer markets and encouraged me to continue with my baking (he loved the rejects) and dreamed of me opening a bakery one day.
Waffle Wednesday will never be again. He made the best that I ever had.
He was loved, adored, cherished and will always be missed by those who knew him.
Cremation has taken place.
A small gathering of family and friends to follow at a later date.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Robert Dewar Collins June 17 1965 May 20 2019..
