GERMAIN, Rita (née Ducharme)
Peacefully passed away with her family by her side at Maison McCulloch Hospice on Saturday, May 4th, 2019 at the age of 91 years. Daughter of the late Cléo and Florence (née Régimbald) Ducharme. Predeceased by her husband Léon Germain. Loving mother of Gaston Germain (Jane), Ginette Vaillancourt (Michel), Robert Germain (Fernande), Marcel Germain, Denis Germain (Margaret) and Carole Germain-Chiswell (Allan). Predeceased by her son Richard Germain. Beloved sister of Yvette Lacroix (late Théo), Jeannine Falardeau (late Lionel), Marguerite Lafrenière (late Jean-Paul), Odette Lavallée (Hubert) and Omer Ducharme (Florence). Predeceased by her siblings Gérald (late Virgina), Roger (Françoise), Paul (Jeanne), Léopold (late Cécile), Claude and Albert. Cherished “grandmère” of Josée, Manon, Colin, Samuel, Sophie, Angèle, Alain, Renée, Mathieu, Jean, François, Andrew and Casey. Predeceased by her grandson Yves. Sadly missed by 14 great-grandchildren. In keeping with Rita’s wishes there will be no visitation. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 10th, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at St-Joseph Church, Chelmsford. The family would like to express a special thank you to nurse Johanne, Dr. Danielle and Palliative team as well as the management and staff at the hospice.
