It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Inez Maag (nee MacLeod) on May 19, 2019. Inez was dedicated to her late husband Peter (d. 1990), four boys Graeme (Brenda), Stephen (Elizabeth), Sandy (Catherine), and Peter (aka Opie), her 8 grandchildren (Laurie, Daniel, Alexander, Jacquelyn, Timothy, Cameron, Emerson and Alexa), 5 great-grandchildren (Charlotte aka Charlie), Harrison, Anastasia, Heidi and Lilli), and her many, many friends. Inez, who originated from New Haven (Neil’s Harbour), NS on Cape Breton Island, left an impact on everyone she touched, including her brothers and sisters and there family’s, and the many friends that she considered family from around the world. Please join us in celebrating Inez’s life and remembering her spirit at J.J. Cardinal (560 Lakeshore Drive, Dorval, QC H9S 2B3) with visitation on Sunday June 2 from 3 pm to 5 pm and on Monday June 3 from 1 pm with a memorial service at 2:30pm.
Her children would like to particularly thank AJ and the caregivers, nurses , and doctors at the Lakeshore General and St-Mary’s Hospitals and Maison Herron who made her final years so comfortable. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Montreal Association for the Blind or the Charity of your choice.
