Gone to be with his Maker on Monday, May 6, 2019 at the Brockville General Hospital, Garden Street Site. Leonard Roth, at the age of 83 years. Beloved and cherished husband of Willy (Sieling) Roth and the late Johanna (Vandermade) Roth. He will be dearly missed by his children, Nicky (Paul), Corey (Ellen), Trudy (Steve), Rina (Arnie), Leonard (Lisa), Joanne (Rob), Casey (Cindy) and Bill (Tammy) as well as by his step-children, Ray (Kelly), Karen (Alex), Ed (Karen) and Rob (Laura). Opa to 20 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 5 step-grandchildren. He will be lovingly remembered by his 7 siblings and by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his infant daughter, Magdalene, and by 2 siblings.
Leonard was a good Christian man with a heart to serve the Lord; highly involved in the churches he attended as well as in the community. He was known for his time spent working at Dupont and was well respected in the farming community. To him, farming and family were his top priorities. He will be greatly missed by all who had the honour of knowing him.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James St. E., Brockville on Thursday, May 9th from 1-5 pm and at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 117 Windsor Dr., Brockville on Friday, May 10th from 1-2 pm. A ceremony in celebration of Leonard’s life will commence at 2 pm on Friday, May 10th in the church sanctuary. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation; Palliative Care or the Heritage Community Christian School will be greatly appreciated.
