It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Josephine Rachel (nee Moise) Mercredi, late of Thompson, MB, on April 21, 2019 at the age of 49 years. Josephine was born in The Pas, MB on September 13, 1969, to parents: Solomon and Catherine (nee Nanbiennare) Moise.
Josephine will be lovingly remembered by her children: Marissa Moise, Lindsey, Jana, Nicole, Mike, Wendall and Reanne Mercredi; her grandchildren: Jacob, McKinley, Haven and McKinnon Farrow, Dalton Samuel-Mercredi, Reyana Mercredi-Adam, Keian Gazandlare, Raiden Mercredi and Kenley Isadore; her godchildren: Carmand Sayazie, Kennan Moise and Jazlyn Pacquette; her mother: Catherine Moise; her brothers and sisters: Lizette (Moise) Denechezhe, Ronnie (Rubina) Moise, Johnny Moise, Flora Jane Denechezhe, Gordan Moise and Joseph Moise; her mother-in-law: Evelyn Mercredi; her in-laws: Marilyn (Peter) Fern, Norma Sayazie, Eva (Napolean) McDonald, Eileen (Martin) St Pierre, Morris (Celina) Mercredi, Gerald Mercredi, Alex John Mercredi, Lorraine (Tony) Antsanen and Steven Mercredi; her special friends: Harold Donkey, Georgina Pische, Cheryl McDonald, Meranda Stenne, Belinda McDonald, Shierly A. Fern, Doreen Lidquerre, Maggie Robillard, Margaret Tsannie, Emily Tssessaze, John Dettanikeaze, Darlene McDonald and Alberta Fern; and numerous nieces and nephews and friends of Fond Du Lac, Lac Brochet, Black Lake, Wollaston Lake, Brochet, Southend, Sandy Bay and Nelson House, MB.
Josephine is predeceased by her husband: Louie Roy Mercredi; her son: Jacob Roy Mercredi; her father: Solomon Moise; her sisters and brother: Lucia Moise, Emily Morin and Charlie Moise; her grandparents: Joseph (Lisa) Moise and John (Susan) Nambiennare; her father-in-law: Paul Mercredi; her brothers and sisters-in-law: Larry Morin, Alphone Denechezhe, Henry, Sylvia Bird, Jean Moise, Irene Moise, Roger, Irene, Johnny, Dorothy, Marcel, Donald and Linda Mercredi; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A Wake Service for Josephine will be held on Friday May 3, 2019 to Sunday May 5, 2019, at the residence of Jana Mercredi located in Fond Du Lac, SK. A Funeral Service will then be held on Monday May 6, 2019 at 2:00PM at Our Lady of Seven Sorrows Church in Fond Du Lac, SK. Interment will follow at Fond Du Lac Cemetery in Fond Du Lac, SK.
