CHASTON, Joan Mary
Passed away peacefully in her 87th year on April 30, 2019. Predeceased by her husband Bill. Loving mother of Bill (Julie), Dave, Tracy (d. Doug), Judy, Alan and Richard. Proud grandmother of Greg, Dan, Jessica, Steve, Scott, Breanne, Kaila, Jarrett, Shane, Alex and Andrew. Great-grandmother of Alice, Evelyn, Zachary, Sophie, Ava, Logyn and Amira. Joan is Survived by sisters Marjorie and Jacqueline, and predeceased by brothers Blair and Jim, and sister Louise.
Special thanks for all the love and support from family and friends. A heartfelt thanks to all of the staff, fellow residents and their families at Ridgeview LTC for the care, love and respect shown to our mother.
In keeping with Joan’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends are welcomed to the Bay Gardens Funeral Home – “William J. Markey Chapel”, 947 Rymal Rd. E., Hamilton on Monday May 6, 2019 for visitation from 10:00 am followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Diabetes Society or Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
The memory of her bright personality and sense of humor shall never pass away.
