Obituary for
Irene Helen Pauli
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Irene Pauli of Humboldt, SK at St. Mary’s Villa at the age of 90 years. Irene was born on May 3, 1928 to Kalman and Helen Hegedus in Wakaw, SK. She grew up on a farm with her sister Margaret and brother Danny located on Hegedus Beach on Wakaw Lake. In 1947, she married Edward Pauli and they made their home in Cudworth where they raised their son Brian. Irene was a homemaker and sometimes worked in the family business, Pauli’s Farm Service. In 1993, they retired and moved to Saskatoon. She very much enjoyed their time living in Saskatoon and loved to spend hours in the malls shopping for clothes, shoes and purses. They resided there until Edward’s passing in 2014. Irene moved back to Cudworth and for a short time and resided at St. Michael’s Haven. When the challenges of dementia became too great, she was transferred to St. Mary’s Villa in Humboldt where she resided until her passing. Irene will be sadly missed by her son Brian of Cudworth, his two children, Darrell (April) of Warman, and their children Kathleen and Daniel; April (Derek) Kozar of Humboldt and their children, Brianna, Aaden, Zachary and Xavier; her sister-in-law Evelyn Hegedus of Wakaw; and her niece and nephews. Irene was predeceased by her husband Edward Pauli; parents Kalman and Helen Hegedus; her sister and brother-in-law Margaret and Gerry Doucet; her brother Danny Hegedus; daughter-in-law Marilyn Pauli; mother and father-in-law Joe and Ida Pauli; brother-in-law Leo Pauli; sister-in-law Rose Pauli; and grandson Joseph Pauli. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church in Cudworth on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Colin Roy as celebrant. Interment of the Urn will follow in St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Cemetery. Donations in memory of Irene may be directed to St. Michael’s Haven.
