Peacefully at home, on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, in his 89th year. He was a gentle man, a loving husband to Lois (predeceased), and an incredible father and friend to his children, Susan, David, Elizabeth and Dennis. Missed by many nieces and nephews and his brother Jim. An incredibly active, dedicated and hard worker throughout his life, Howard spent his entire career with Moore Business Forms in Toronto, Trenton and then Oshawa. He always loved long walks, golfing, curling and particularly gardening. Howard worked countless hours creating a beautiful home for his family. He loved and, of course, spoiled, his dogs and cats. He enjoyed card games (particularly poker) with family and friends. He always had time to spend with family, playing ping pong, badminton and golf. A unique and wonderful friend and father who will live on in our hearts, smiles and memories forever and always. Howard would greet all he met with a smile and a handshake and would always offer a helping hand to his neighbours and friends. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him, working with him, laughing with him, and loving him. As per Howard and the family’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at Richmond Woods Retirement Village. A special thanks to the staff and residents at Richmond Woods for their kindness and care. In lieu of flowers, please give a rescue animal a home or donate to a rescue shelter/organization in memory of Howard.
