Our dearest Herman Allan Roote, began his final journey to be with our Creator on Saturday May 18, 2019 at the age of 70. Loving husband and best friend to Pat Roote for 47 years. Proud dad to Derek and his wife Kim. Loving Poppa to Alexis, Isabella, Brody, Breanna, Brynn, Bailey, and great poppa to Avery & Kaden. Survived by his brother Stub (Sue) Roote, by his sister Beulah Johnson, and by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Herman is now in the loving arms of his son Devin. Predeceased by his parents Edward & Hilda, by his brothers Hubert and Wayne, and by his sisters, Bertha, Muriel and Sarah Ann. Visitation at the Wesley United Church, Saugeen First Nation, on Wednesday May 22, 2019 from 2-4 & 6-9 pm. A Service to Celebrate the Life of Herman will be held at the James Mason Memorial Centre on Thursday May 23 at 2 pm. Cremation to follow. Interment of ashes at a later date at Saugeen Village Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Chapman House, Owen Sound or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
