Passed peacefully away on Friday May 10, 2019 after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family, Gordon Elliot Rogers, aged 80 years. Predeceased by his parents Andrew and Emily(Peddle);brothers Stanley and Bruce;brother in law Gerald Mosher and sister in law Iris Mosher. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his loving and devoted wife of 60 years Sally; his 4 children Arlene( Richard Belbin),JoAnne( Wayne Soper),Andy(Debi) and Nita (Darrell Squires); 2 grandchildren Jordon(Chelsey); and Jacob Brown, sister Audrey, brothers Jack(Joyce) and Harold; brothers in law Vaughn(Vida) Mosher, Albert, Francis, sisters-in-law Shirley (Tom Kendall) and Lorraine; plus a large circle of other relatives,family and friends. Resting at Green’s Funeral Home, Winterton. Visiting hours Saturday 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., Sunday 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Monday May 13th at 2:00 p.m. from Green’s Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Interment to take place at a later date. Gord was a loving husband and father who was cherished by family. He loved his family, friends and the community he lived in. He loved fishing with his brothers, picnics on the beach and his trip to Alaska. Gardening was a love he had for many years and he could be heard singing a song as he planted. He enjoyed a hand of cards or a game of crib. He was active in the community and enjoyed volunteering his time for the benefit of others. Gord will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
