George Maillet
1941-2019
George Maillet, 77, of Moncton, passed away peacefully on Sunday May
5, 2019 at the Résidence Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur in
Dieppe. Born in Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, he was the son of the late
Amédée and the late Délia (Caissie) Maillet.
George was a devoted Christian. He had a passion for horses; he owned
and was involved in harness racing. He also enjoyed playing cards,
travelling and was an avid hockey fan (Boston Bruins) and
baseball.
He will be sadly missed by his loving partner, Annette Goguen, his
daughters; Jessica Goguen (Nick), Cheryl McMillan (Craig), his son
Shawn (Gina) and four grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn his
sisters; Alma Lefort (late Lionel), Cécile Maillet, Sr Rose-Mai
Maillet ndsc, Maria Comeau (Danny), his brothers; Edmond (late
Pauline), Vincent (Alice), Robert (Geneva), Alphonse (Jacqueline),
Gerard (Docile) and several nieces and nephews.
George was predeceased by one sister, Imelda.
Visitations will be held at the Sainte-Anne-de-Kent RC Church Slumber
Room, on Friday May 10, 2019 from 9 am to 11am followed by the Funeral
Mass at 11:00am.
In George’s memory a donation can be made to the Heart and
Stroke Foundation.
