Dennis’ Obituary
Chapman, Dennis Roy – 69, Springhill, passed away with his family by his side on Thursday, May 23, 2019 in All Saints Hospital, Springhill. Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late Clarence «Joe» Chapman and the late Muriel (Bailey) Beaton. Dennis worked and lived in Toronto for many years having worked with Metroland Printing and Publishing (a division of the Toronto Star). After retirement he moved back to Springhill to be closer to family. He was a dedicated fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs his whole life. Dennis also enjoyed playing golf and always listening to the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Elvis Presley. He will be missed by his many friends and close family. Dennis is survived by his children, Tammy Chapman (Andrew), Springhill; Denise (Scott) MacPherson, Innisfil, ON; Craig (Jamie) Chapman, Milton, ON; grandchildren, Lacey, Dustin, Shyann, Kylie, Sierra, Bryce, Dakota and Jaidyn; and great-grand daughter, Logann Marie «Lo-Lo»; brothers, Bruce (Arlene); Joe (Wendy); Clarence (Dianne); Terry; Ted; Stephen (Wendy); sisters, Wanda (Derrick); Linda (Tim); Shelly (Fred); Trudy (Jeff); Margaret; best friends, Hughie (Deb) and Walter Jewkes, and Marylin Smith. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers, Wayne, Gary and Johnny; sister Carol Ann; niece, Kelly Montgomery; nephew, Matthew Montgomery: nephew, Steven Knapman. Dennis’ family will hold a private memorial at a later date. The family would like to acknowledge All Saints palliative care floor and Beth for their tremendous care and support of our father.
