Charles Douglas Reekie passed away on Monday, May 27th in his 95th year. He was the beloved husband of Lorna (nee Bridge) for 70 years. Dear father of Jennifer (Bill Howard) and John (Jean Munden). Also survived by 5 grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his beloved daughter Diane (1952-1956). Doug was born in Montreal West. He earned his chartered accountants’ degree in 1948 and went on to a very successful business career. He was the president and CEO of Canadian Aviation Electronics Ltd. (now CAE Inc.) for many years and served on many company boards. After moving to Toronto he joined Lambton Golf & Country Club where he enjoyed golf and good friends. He also loved classical music and traveling the world. At Doug’s request there will be no visitation or funeral. Contributions to a charity of your choice would be welcome.
