Obituary of Thomas Hope
Hope, Thomas George – of RR2 Blenheim, passed away on Friday April 19, 2019 at the Blenheim Community Village, age 89.
Born in Tilbury East Township to parents the late Thomas and Elizabeth (nee Shivas) Hope.
Loving husband of the late Evelyn Anne (nee Hunter) and father of the late Diane (late Daniel) Segeren.
Grandfather of Jason and wife Josselynne Segeren of RR2 Blenheim and Melissa and husband Ahmed Al-Jaishi of Dutton. Great-Grandfather of Emma Hope Segeren, Adam Daniel Al-Jaishi and Lena Diane Al-Jaishi.
Tom was one of nine children, being the brother of Harry (late Shirley) Hope of Blenheim, Carol (Glen) Walters of Chatham, and sister-in-law Jane Hope of Blenheim.
He was predeceased by his siblings Inez (late Alec) Boyes, Winnifred (late Don) Allison, Marjorie (late Clare) Allison, Kenneth (late Joyce) Hope, Douglas Hope, and Blake (late June) Hope.
He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Tom farmed for many years in Guilds.
Memorial visitation will be held at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park St., Blenheim, on Wednesday April 24, 2019 from 4-7pm. Interment will be held at a later date in the Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim.
