COLLIER, Stanley Ralph “Stan” “Jimmy” ~ Age 80, Brickton, Annapolis Co., passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2019, in Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Baxter, Ont., he was a son of the late Ross W. and Rachael E.E. (Bentley) Collier. Stanley was a member of the Emmanuel Congregational Christian Church, Middleton. He was a friend of Bill W. for 30 years. Stanley had worked at Trim Trans of Canada, in Ontario until his retirement. He will be missed by his companion, Jack the cat. Surviving are his loving wife of five years, the former Angela M. “Angie” Bezanson, who will miss him dearly; sister, Carol (the late Ray) Percey, Barrie, Ont.; brother, Harvey (Rita) Collier, Barrie Ont.; many nieces and nephews, including special nephew, Jason. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Margaret “Peg” (Elwood) Blair; brothers, Donald, Dean Irwin (Jean) Collier. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Memorial service will take place at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 27, in Emmanuel Congregational Christian Church. Rev. Sweis Ubels officiating, with a reception to follow. Donations in his memory may be made to Emmanuel Congregational Christian Church, Middleton, or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. A special thank you from the family is extended to Dr. Kevin McGuire and Dr. Lesley Ribeiro and the nurses on the medical floor at Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital for everything that did for Stan when he was a patient.
