Ruth Ann Clarke (nee Dowdell)
Peacefully, at home, with her loving husband by her side on April 27, 2019 at 81 years of age. Wife of Edward (Ted) Clarke for 62 years. Daughter of Mrs. Ivy Gibb (2009) and Mr. Joseph Dowdell (1972). Step-daughter of Robert A. Gibb (1984) and Ivy’s very good friend Barney Boggs (2009). Mother of her beloved children Kevin (2003) and wife Judy (Windsor), Brad and Sue (Grand Bend), Gregg (Windsor) and Leslie and husband Cory Cookson (Windsor). Precious grandmother of Ken, Jessica, Brittany, Kyle, Kayla, Kassie, Mike and Katie. Great grandmother of Kevin and Devlin. Dear sister of Judy Kalbol (1995) and Mark, Lynn Croft (2011). Carol Tellier and Fred, Linda and Gerry Newman. Sister-in-law of Bill Clarke (2001) and Bunty (2013), Muriel Nowell (2001), Ray (1978), Jerry (2006) and Mary. Daughter-in-law of John (1962) and Ellen (1979). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ruth was a former employee of St. Clair College Bookstore for 19 years. If you so desire, donations to an educational trust fund for her great-grandchildren Kevin and Devlin (cheques payable to Edward Clarke) or Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of Canada would be appreciated by the family. Cremation has taken place. Memorial visiting Thursday, May 2nd 2:00pm-4:00pm at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841.
