Mary Kathleen «Kaye» Stafford
1928-2019
Passed peacefully
on April 05, 2019 at Andrew’s of Stratford at age 90 and has
gone to be with her beloved husband and best friend, Al (Staff)
Stafford. Kaye was the daughter of the late Jo and Al Ruffee of
Granville Ferry. Kaye was a nurse and worked in Halifax, Toronto,
Baffin Island, NWT, Yukon and Saskatchewan. She enjoyed life in the
north with her beloved Al who was with the RCMP. Pre-deceased by Al in
1992, Kaye was active with many groups such as Beta Sigma Phi
sorority, Crown Jewels, Welcome Club, Bridge Group and several others.
Kaye enjoyed travelling across Canada and the US with Al, and later
trips with friends and family. Kaye is survived by her daughters Linda
(Bob) Jenkins, Susan (Kim) Darling, granddaughters Robin Jenkins,
Kimberley Jenkins and Elizabeth (Jamieson) Smith, great-grandchildren
Jordan, Hannah and Isla plus many nieces, nephews and cousins
especially Vernon (Anne) Amberman & Cynthia (Matt) Spence.
There will be a private family interment of Kaye and Al in Bridgetown
NS as their wish was to be buried together. A Celebration of Kaye and
Al’s life together will be held at a future date. In lieu of
flowers, a donation may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation,
Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
