SCOTT, JOHN – At Bluewater Health on Monday, April 29, 2019, John (Jack) Frederick Scott, age 92 of Sarnia passed away peacefully with his family by his side. He was the loving husband of the late Matilda “Meta” Scott (2016) and dear father of Frances De Moel (John), Joyce Handyside (Tom) and June Rigby (Dave), cherished grandfather of Jennifer (Patrick), Carolyn, Adam (Cait) and Sean and great-papa of Lucy. He is also survived by his brother Noel and sisters Frances, Ina and Kathleen and several nieces and nephews. John immigrated to Canada from Ireland in 1954 to start a new life with his wife. He began working at Fiberglas Canada and retired from there after 36 years of service. He loved going to garage sales and auctions. A funeral service commemorating John’s life will be held at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre Ltd. (102 Victoria St. N., Sarnia, N7T 5W9) on Friday, May 3rd at 12:00 noon. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to a Charity of Choice (cheques only at the funeral home please).
