Gwendoline (Gwen) Mary Tofflemire of Simcoe, Ontario
February 22, 1924 – April 28, 2019
At Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on April 28, 2019, Gwen Tofflemire of Simcoe in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Doug Tofflemire (2005). Cherished mother of Nancy Hart (Lorne) of Mount Hope, grandmother of Chris and Jo-Ellen (Ryan). Mother of Jo-Ann Miskelly (Jim) of Port Elgin, grandmother to Jeff (Bianca), great grandmother of Jude and Elton of Oakville and grandmother to Stephen Smalley of Waterdown. Mother of Karen Tofflemire-Zehr (Dwight) of Burlington. Predeceased by a sister Marion Pulley (Leonard) of Leamington. She was a member of the Simcoe Gospel Chapel and served in the Library Ministry and was involved with the Chapel’s Sisters activities. Gwen enjoyed gardening, home decorating and had a flair for interior painting projects. Friends are invited to call at THE FERRIS FUNERAL HOME, 214 Norfolk St., S., Simcoe on Thursday, May 2, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 2 p.m. Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Marty Brown officiating. Cremation has taken and Gwen will be laid to rest in Leamington, Ontario.
