Obituary for
Benny (Bohdan) Elkow
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Benny Elkow on April 10, 2019 at the age of 87 years.
Benny will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Doug (Wendy) and Garry (Joanne); daughter, Debbie L’Heureux; grandsons, Michael L’Heureux, Rob and Tom; granddaughter, Charlene (David) Laprise; great-grandchildren, Mason, Avery, Violet and Morgan. He is deeply loved and will be forever missed by his loving family, sister, Olga Synuiga; many nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Michael and Mary; wife, Olga; sisters, Helen, Mary and Emily; and son-in-law, Steve L’Heureux.
The family would like to thank Dr. Nigel Flook and his assistant, Melanie, for their compassionate and devoted care.
Funeral Rite Monday, April 15 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 9831 – 75 Street, Edmonton. In lieu of other tributes, donations in memory of Benny may be made to the University of Alberta Hospital Foundation.
