John Edward Seale
1930-2019
It is with sadness, but with appreciation
for a life well-lived, that the family of John Seale, husband of the
late Verna (McIntyre) Seale, announce his passing on Wednesday, March
6, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born September 18, 1930
in Saint John, he was a son of the late Joseph and Alice (Dowridge)
Seale.
John was a life-long resident of
Millidgeville. He adored spending time with family- especially his
grandchildren. He enjoyed his many trips to Barbados, playing cards on
Friday nights at M. Gerald Teed School with his friend Walter, was an
avid gardener, and made perfect pie crust. Prior to his retirement,
John found joy in his trucking career. John loved the arts and was an annual
subscriber to the Imperial Theatre. He also enjoyed music,
and could often be found singing or humming, and playing the
guitar.
John is survived by his daughter, Holly
Seale (Dr. Kevin Langford); sons, Ian and Lee (Cindy); grandchildren:
Chelsea (Derek Nason), Vanessa, Chase (Elizabeth), Taylor, and Zack;
brothers, Donald (Juanita) and Charles (Linda); several cousins,
nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Besides his parents
and his wife, Verna, John was predeceased by his grandson, Nathan
Seale, and his other brothers and sisters.
The family would like to extend a special
«thank you» to Dr. Sarah Caines, Dr. Donna MacNeil, the
Palliative Care doctors, staff of 5CN, and the staff of Lily Court for
their care of John. Your kindness will not be
forgotten.
Arrangements are under the care of
Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint
John (634-7424), with visiting on Saturday, March 9,
2019 from 12 to 2 pm, at which time a funeral service will be held in
Brenan’s Chapel. Interment will take place in Fernhill
Cemetery in the spring. For those who wish, remembrances to the
Alzheimer Society of NB would be appreciated by the family.
