It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Beverly Charles “Chuck” Conway which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, March 8th, 2019. Born 1946, in Saint John, he was the son of the late Gregory and Doreen (McInerney) Conway. Chuck, also known as “Sparky”, was a burner at the Dry Dock for several years and also worked as a taxi driver up until retirement in 2014. He enjoyed camping at Oak Point and Cambridge Narrows. He loved working on cars, family gatherings and he cherished every moment spent with his brother Greg.
Chuck is survived by his son Bruce Conway (Patti) of Saint John; daughters Lisa Conway (Rodney) of Saint John, Heather Conway (Danny) of Saint John, Madison Sparrow (Zack) of Hamilton, ON and their mothers Linda and Judy; brother Gregory Conway of Kingston, NB; grandchildren Justin (Katharine), Michael (Miranda), Sarah (Leslie), Amy (Peter), Trinity and Destini; great grandchildren Violet, Stella, Sadie, Rory, Cierra, Jaisy and Aubree; niece Nancy; nephew Tony and his beloved dog Precious.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation taking place on Tuesday, March 12th from 11 to 12 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 12 noon in the chapel. Interment will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date. Donations in memory of Chuck may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, Bobby’s Hospice, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
