Pettigrew, Ruby Edith – 95, Oxford, passed away Friday, February 8th, 2019, in East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash. Born in Kolbec, she was a daughter of the late Silas and Elzina (Rushton) Tait. Ruby was a former member of the Oxford Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Oxford Pioneer Heritage Club. She was a loving mother and grandmother who cared for her family very much. She is survived by sons, Acey Pettigrew; Cyril (Pat) Pettigrew; Terry (Vicki) Young; daughters, Dora (Charles) Craig; Christine Tanner; Sheila (Jim) Jones; Ann (Bob) Brown; Karen Wheaton; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews She was predeceased by her husband, Garfield «Acey» Pettigrew; son, Chester; brothers, John, Bert, Elmer, Nathan and Russell; sisters, Alice Langille, Mae Payne, Lois Wilson; Olive Weir Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m., followed by funeral service and reception at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2019 in MacDiarmid’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, 5075 Main Street, Oxford (902-447-2930).
